Business English

Emic View’s Business English class consists of 40, 1 hour sessions where business leaders use real business situations to learn how to communicate with customers, practice telephone and email etiquette, learn how to work trade shows, problem solve in English, and learn to run their businesses in America.

Travel English

Emic View’s Travel English class consists of 32, 1 hour sessions where you will learn common vocabulary and phrases that are used when traveling.  Topics include: the airport, renting a car, asking for directions, hotels, ordering in restaurants, going to the hospital, exchanging money, etc.

Writing

Emic View's Advanced Writing course teaches students to become more effective writers, using practical examples exercises, short papers, and live feedback.  Topics include: principles of good writing, tricks for writing faster and with less anxiety, and persuasive writing.

Mark Twain House

Emic View's Western Literature course is designed to expose students to a broad range of readings and topics they would probably not otherwise encounter but which forms the foundation of Western culture.

Mastery

Emic View's Master Classes are individually designed classes for advanced students who are preparing to come to America for school or business. Topics include: Negotiation, Public Speaking, Advanced Western History, Philosophy, Literature, English, and Writing.

Phonics

Emic View believes learning Phonics is the best way to build a foundation for learning English.  We offer six levels of Phonics courses beginning in Kindergarten and going through Second Grade.   Each level has 25, ½ hour classes.  Each class focuses on vowel sounds and letter/sound identification.

Grades 1-12

Each Premium Level Grade Level contains 40, 1 hour lessons, 150-300 vocabulary words, grammar, speech, and writing basic essays to mimic the experience of learning in top American schools.
